Huzzah! Students Create Merriment at Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire

Huzzah! Dozens of bright young Lords and Ladies from the noble village of Exeter did journey forth to the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Manheim this fine day, where they did maketh merry with music and drama amidst the bustling throngs of commoners.
The fair Mistresses and Masters of the Junior High’s Honors Choir lifted their voices in sweet harmony alongside the combined Chamber Orchestra of the Junior and Senior High, filling the air with melodies most divine. Afterward, these scholarly travelers did partake in lessons of post-medieval lore and feast upon the Faire’s famed turkey legs, exotic jerkies, and other royal delights most pleasing to both noble and peasant palate alike.
As the afternoon sun began to rise, players from the SHS did grace the stage with a dramatic rendering of Master William Shakespeare’s, "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," under the wise and artful direction of Lady Kennedy Rock, a senior of great renown.
Though Exeter’s gallant minstrels and thespians did not claim victory upon this day, their spirits remained undaunted as they proclaimed the day to be a great success. “This is an amazing opportunity for them to have an experience that goes beyond the classroom,” quoth Mr. Wickstrom, with mirth and pride. “It’s such a unique and cool experience that goes beyond their day-to-day routine.”
Likewise, Mistress Crotty did proclaim, “This is such a great tradition that grows year after year,” she said of the field trip that’s been a tradition for at least two decades. “More kids dress in costumes each year, and they get more excited about the culture of the Faire while looking forward to all that they can learn while here.”
