Dear Exeter Families,

We hope you're having a wonderful summer! As we approach August, we just wanted to give you a quick reminder of these upcoming dates to save for the upcoming school year! We look forward to seeing you again soon!
 

Reiffton, Junior High & Senior High New Student Orientations

New Student Orientations are for students new to a school and their families. No need to register! Please select whichever session works best for you:

Reiffton:
  • August 5th: 9-10AM
  • August 14th: 6-7PM
Junior High:
  • August 7th: 6-8PM
  • August 11th: 9-11AM
Senior High:
  • August 6th: 9-11AM
  • August 13th: 6-8PM
 

K-4 New Student Orientations, Bus Rides & Sneak-A-Peek

K-4 new student orientations, tours and bus rides will be held on Friday, August 15th at Jacksonwald, Lorane and Owatin Creek for students new to a school and their families! Please join us for an open house where you can take a self-guided tour around your new school, drop off school supplies in your classroom, and take an optional bus ride. No need to register; please select whichever session works best for you:

  • AM Session: 10-11 AM
  • PM Session: 1-2PM

At the start of each session, we'll also be offering an orientation presentation in the cafeteria to learn all about attending your new school. If you attended a kindergarten orientation session in June, you are welcome skip the orientation presentation and begin the self-guided tour and take the optional bus ride. 

Returning elementary students and their families are welcome to join us on Wednesday, August 20th from 3-5PM at Jacksonwald, Lorane and Owatin Creek for “Sneak-A-Peek.” This open house allows returning students and their families to find and sneak-a-peek into their new classroom and drop off their school supplies. 

Please note that teachers will not be attending these sessions; however, you’ll be able to meet them shortly afterwards during our Meet-the-Teacher nights on the dates listed below.

*Please note: If you attend the new student orientation on Friday, August 15th, there's no need to also attend Sneak-A-Peek. However, if you were unable to attend orientation, you’re welcome to attend Sneak-A-Peek instead; however, there will NOT be a bus ride or an orientation presentation during Sneak-A-Peek.

Owatin Creek:
  • August 25th: 5-7PM
Jacksonwald:
  • August 26th: 5-7PM
Lorane:
  • August 27th: 5-7PM
Junior High:
  • September 2nd: 6-8PM
Reiffton:
  • September 4th: 5-7PM
Senior High:
  • September 11th: 6-8PM
 

Back-to-School Dates

First Day of School for ALL Students: Thursday, August 21st

Please note: Early dismissal schedule for students on August 21st and August 22nd:
  • 7-12 at 11:30AM
  • 5-6 at 12:15PM
  • K-4 at 1PM

Please also make a note that there will be NO SCHOOL for students on:
  • August 29th
  • September 1st

 

School Supply Lists

  • Jacksonwald, Lorane, Owatin Creek and Reiffton School Supply Lists: https://www.exetersd.org/school-supplies.
  • Junior High & Senior High School Supply Lists: Students' school supplies will vary based upon their classes. They will learn more about what they need during the first week of school from their teachers. We recommend sending students to school the first week with basic school supplies, such as a binder, a notebook, a pencil and a pen.
Should your family have any trouble purchasing school supplies, please reach out to your building's principal so that we may help you.
