During the May 18th voting meeting, the Board of School Directors passed a preliminary 2026-27 budget of $92 million. During budget discussions, which have been held monthly since March, the district noted a $1.89 million increase in benefits as one of the main drivers behind the need for a 3.5% tax increase, which equates to an additional $11.72 per month for the average ETSD homeowner (based upon an average assessment of $108,600 )

Exeter Considers New Platform to Replace Skyward

During the voting meeting on June 16th, the Board will decide if the district will adopt Sapphire, a new student information system to replace Skyward, which is being discontinued by the company. Exeter's Director of Technology, Joe Way, told the Board during a previous meeting that a team of teachers and administrators considered several new systems to replace Skyward as the district's registration, attendance, special education and grade book system. The team settled on Sapphire after an extensive evaluation process, and will begin a year-long implementation and training process if the board approves the new platform.

The next Board of School Directors meeting will be Tuesday, June 16th at 7PM at the Exeter Township Lausch Administration Building. In July, the Board will hold a combined Committee of the Whole and Voting meeting on Tuesday, July 14th at 6PM. All are welcome to attend.
